Practical Experience: Extensive experience as head of patents, in which role he was responsible for the global technical IP of a US titanium dioxide manufacturer. Subsequently, as head of IP, he supported the transfer of a business unit of a leading global chemical company to an investor. In these roles, he advised inventors and executives on all IP-related matters – from invention harvesting and drafting through to patent prosecution and enforcement.

Technical Fields: Chemical and biochemical patents, polymers (in particular superabsorbent polymers), detergents, adhesives, pharmaceuticals (in particular active pharmaceutical ingredients), inorganic chemistry (in particular titanium dioxide), pigments, metal alloys, nanoparticles, photovoltaics, process engineering and catalysis.
